FAQ Feeding 6-12 months

When and how should I introduce nuts to my infant?

Nuts can be introduced as early as 6-7 months after you have established other basic solids. Introduce one type of nut at a time and use a 3-day wait rule to monitor for any allergic reactions. Nuts should always be prepared safely: soak, peel, and finely powder them, or roast and grind them into a smooth powder to avoid choking hazards. Once tolerated, they can be easily mixed into porridge, yogurt, or fruit purees.
