When can I stop burping my baby?
While there is no strict rule, many parents find they can stop religiously burping their baby around 4-5 months of age, or when the baby begins burping easily on their own after feeds. In theory, babies are so relaxed during sleep that they are less likely to have issues with trapped gas. However, if your baby is prone to reflux, it is wise to keep them upright for 10-15 minutes after a feed even if you aren't actively burping them.
