When is it safe to start using sunscreen on my baby?
Most pediatricians recommend waiting until a baby is at least 6 months old before introducing sunscreen. Before this age, it is safer to protect your baby using physical shade, hats, and protective clothing. When you do start, look for mineral-based formulas designed for sensitive skin, and always perform a patch test first to ensure your baby doesn't have an adverse reaction to the ingredients.
