When should I introduce toothpaste to my baby's oral hygiene routine?

Oral hygiene should begin early, even before teeth emerge, by gently cleaning gums with a soft muslin cloth. Once your baby has teeth, you can introduce a fluoride-free, baby-safe toothpaste, often recommended in mixed fruit flavors that make the brushing process more enjoyable. Aim to brush twice daily, and consult your pediatrician for specific guidance on when to transition to fluoride-containing products based on your child's age and dental development.
