When and how should I start the tooth-brushing routine for my baby?

You can begin a brushing routine as soon as your baby's first tooth erupts, which is typically around 6 months. Start by using a soft baby brush or a clean finger with a tiny, rice-sized smear of baby-safe toothpaste twice a day. For younger babies, you can use a damp muslin cloth to gently clean their gums, helping them get used to the sensation before transitioning to a brush as more teeth appear.
