Why does my 4-month-old unlatch frequently?
Aggressive tugging or frequent unlatching during feeds can be caused by a fast letdown, teething, or simple curiosity as your baby becomes more aware of their surroundings. If your baby settles when you hold your breast to compress it, you may be experiencing a flow that is slightly too fast for them to manage. Try different feeding positions, such as the laid-back or koala hold, to help them feed more comfortably.
