How can I clean my baby's gums or teeth once solids start?

Once you begin solids, you can start cleaning your baby’s gums with a damp, soft muslin cloth or a finger silicone brush during bath time. This is also a great way to soothe tender gums if they are teething. As soon as the first tooth erupts, transition to a soft baby toothbrush and a tiny smear of baby-safe, fluoride-free toothpaste to establish a healthy oral hygiene routine early on.
