How can I help my baby accept a bottle when I return to work?

It is very common for breastfed babies to resist bottles. To encourage the transition, have a caregiver—not the breastfeeding parent—offer the bottle while you remain completely out of sight, as the baby can sense your presence and stress. If the baby continues to refuse, try different nipple flows, a sipper cup, or even a spoon. Patience and persistence are key, and if the baby is developmentally ready for solids, some paediatricians may suggest offering those at missed feed times.
