FAQ Feeding 6-12 months

How can I help my baby accept drinking water?

Some babies are slow to accept water, especially if they are getting sufficient hydration through breast milk or formula. You can encourage water intake by modeling the behavior—make it look exciting and delicious when you drink. If they are resistant, try offering water in different containers like straw cups or open cups, or offer slightly infused water using natural flavors like raisins, apples, or holy basil (tulsi). Avoid stressing over the amount, as they will naturally increase their intake as they grow and eat more solids.
