It is completely normal for the BCG vaccine site to develop a small bump or a tiny pus-filled head as it heals; this indicates the vaccine is working properly. Do not apply any oils, lotions, or creams to the area, as this can irritate the skin. Simply wash the site gently with plain water during baths, pat it dry, and allow it to heal on its own.
