FAQ FeedingMilestones 3-6 months6-12 months

Is it normal for a 6-month-old to show resistance to feeding?

Yes, many babies go through phases of distraction or resistance during feeds as they become more curious about the world or face teething discomfort. If your baby pulls away, yanks at the nipple, or feeds in short, frequent bursts, it is often a normal developmental phase rather than a supply issue. Try feeding in a quiet, dimly lit room to reduce distractions, or consider 'dream feeding' when they are sleepy to ensure they are getting enough intake.
