FAQ FeedingMilestones 6-12 months

Is it normal for a 6-month-old to suddenly show increased hunger?

Sudden increases in hunger are very common and are usually linked to growth spurts. Around 6 months, your baby's appetite may fluctuate significantly; you might notice days of ravenous eating followed by days of reduced intake. Focus on feeding on demand, offer a variety of nutrient-dense solids, and trust that their body knows how much it needs to grow. Since milk remains the primary source of nutrition, continue providing milk on demand as well.
