FAQ FeedingMilestones 1-2 years

Is it normal for a toddler to go through a 'hunger strike'?

Yes, it is very common for toddlers between 1-2 years to experience a drop in appetite as their growth rate slows down. They may become selective or skip meals entirely. Avoid forcing food or using screens to distract them, as this can create negative mealtime associations. Instead, maintain a routine of offering healthy options every few hours and trust that your child will consume the amount their body needs. If weight gain or energy levels become a concern, consult your pediatrician.
