Should I feed my baby during hiccups?

There are differing opinions on this, but many parents find that feeding their baby helps stop persistent hiccups. While some pediatricians may advise against it, many mothers report that nursing or bottle-feeding is the only thing that successfully settles their baby. If your baby is not distressed, there is no urgent need to stop them, but if they are irritable from hunger, offering a feed is a common and usually effective remedy.
