FAQ HealthSleep 0-3 months

Is it safe for my 3-month-old to have nasal congestion at night?

Nighttime congestion in newborns is very common because their nasal passages are extremely narrow and still developing. Since they are often clear during the day, this is usually caused by the environment or simply lying flat. You can provide comfort by ensuring the room air is moist with a humidifier and using saline nasal drops as recommended by your doctor to clear any mucus before feeds.
